Minsur in the ICMM
Last October 28, through our CEO, Juan Luis Kruger, Minsur participated in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), in Melbourne, Australia. This Conference had the purpose to discuss strategies to strengthen the social and environmental development of the mining industry. It is part of the schedule of activities of the International Council of Mining and Metals (ICMM), which represents the 27 world’s leading mining companies on sustainability matters, and Minsur is part of them.
According to the Council’s vision there are three subjects that connect the global mining industry: environmental stewardship, the role of the mining sector in society and human wellbeing. The agreed plan establishes three crosscutting areas: leadership, innovation and the strengthening of operational practices.
As we know, Minsur is part of the world’s major mining leagues since May this year when it was admitted in the ICMM.
